Casuarina trees. Taken in Piasau, on the beach side of a residential area. Piasau is situated on the peninsular between Miri town and Lutong. Tall Casuarina trees cover most of the grassy area behind the beach, providing shade from the usually burning sun. In the evenings, swarms of beetles fly around and end up clutching onto the needle leaves of the Casuarinas where they spend the night.
